Do you have Paediatric Physiotherapists at Physio Club?
We don’t have specialist Paediatric Physiotherapists on our team, so for complex paediatric conditions outside our scope we will happily refer you to the right service.
However, at Physio Club, our qualified physiotherapists do work with children and adolescents (from infants through to 18 years) for conditions such as:
- Joint and muscle pain
- Postural challenges
- Sports and dance injuries
- Growing pains
- Strength, coordination, and performance development
Our team adapts assessments and treatments to suit each stage of growth and development, creating age-appropriate programs in our welcoming, child-friendly clinics.
If you’re unsure whether we’re the right fit for your child’s needs, please give us a call—we’ll guide you in the right direction.
How long will my appointment be?
- Physiotherapy appointments – allow 30 minutes for both your first and follow-up visits
- Exercise Physiology appointments – allow 60 minutes
- Specialised Physiotherapy assessments – allow 60 minutes
The exact length of your appointment will be shown in the online booking form or confirmed when booking over the phone.
All consultations are one-on-one with your practitioner to ensure you receive their full attention.
What should I wear to my appointment?
To help your physiotherapist or exercise physiologist assess and treat you effectively, we recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to move freely.
- For lower limb concerns (hip, knee, ankle, foot) – please bring or wear shorts
- For upper limb, back, or neck concerns – a loose-fitting shirt or singlet is ideal
What should I expect at the initial appointment?
When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by our friendly reception team before meeting your treating practitioner.
Your initial consultation will include:
- Conversation about your injury and history – to understand the problem and identify contributing factors
- Goal setting – to establish clear treatment goals
- Physical assessment – examining structural, mechanical, and neural aspects to determine what’s happening
- Treatment and advice –hands-on treatment, plus practical advice and tailored exercises to begin your recovery at home
Our aim is to give you a clear understanding of your condition, a personalised treatment plan, and confidence in your path to recovery.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed. Our physiotherapists and exercise physiologists are primary care practitioners, meaning you can book directly.
However, a referral (and supporting paperwork) is required if your appointment will be funded through:
- Medicare rebates (EPC/Chronic Disease Management plan)
- WorkCover
- CTP insurance
If you’re unsure what you need to bring, our reception team will be happy to guide you when booking.
What do I need to bring to my first visit?
To help us get the most out of your session, please bring:
- Medical information – any scans, x-rays, medical reports, or relevant history
